We are committed to support participation from communities underrepresented in our activities due to financial reasons. The amount of support is dependent on the level of overall funding raised for each edition of the conference, and the financial contributions from partner institutions are instrumental in sustaining and expanding this fund.
Scholarship awards are based on the level of financial need, and the appropriateness of the opportunity afforded to the applicant. To be eligible, applicants must have no other source of funding to meet the cost of registration, and be based in a low or middle income country.
Subject to application, those eligible for an inclusion scholarship benefit from 90% discount on the full registration fee. Exceptional candidates will also be awarded additional travel support to in-person conferences.
To apply for an inclusion scholarship to attend one region of Data for Policy 2022 in person, please send your CV and a detailed cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org, including the following information:
- Eligibility for the award
- Relevance of current position to the conference
- Evidence of activity in a wider community/network relevant to the conference
- Benefits gained from the conference for the individual and their community/network
Please note that applications that do not contain the requested information may not be assessed.
The deadline for application is 16 September.
