Venue

Data for Policy 2024 will be held at Imperial College London, hosted by Imperial Policy Forum in collaboration with the Data Science Institute. We will be at the Sir Alexander Fleming Building on the South Kensington Campus, in the heart of London’s historical museum district.

Imperial Policy Forum uses the latest evidence from Imperial’s world-leading academics to inform the key policy conversations at a local, national and international level.  Its work draws on the skills, expertise and resources of different parts of the College and its wider networks. It is only by bringing together academia, government and industry we can find solutions to the biggest challenges facing the world today across climate, future technologies and health.

IPF also support researchers to better engage with policymakers and crossing the divide between academia and policy. We support policymakers through bespoke briefings, workshops and events to understand the latest evidence in key areas, supporting evidence-based decision-making.

The Data Science Institute hosts researchers and students conducting their own academic research on a range of topics in areas such as biomedical informatics, data learning, image informatics, data visualisation, AI system architecture and the future of work. The unifying theme of their work is the pursuit of innovations for building, exploring, and exploiting modern data sets—that is, large data sets created from disparate sources and types of data through novel curation, transformation, machine learning techniques, and theoretical and practical insights from problem domains.

Imperial College is a global top ten university with a world-class reputation in science, engineering, business and medicine. We are delighted to be working with them to deliver the 2024 conference.
