We are excited to announce the launch of our monthly newsletter, Pulse, transitioning from our previous quarterly format. In this October’24 edition, we share the latest developments, regulations, and legislative updates in the data and AI policymaking landscape, along with latest news from our community members.
In the Recent Insights from Data for Policy CIC section, you’ll find highlights from our recent conference, featuring over 130 presenters on AI governance. News from Our Community showcases the academic achievements of our members, including Prof. Sarah Giest’s inaugural lecture and Dr. Zeynep Engin’s latest panel discussion at the European Parliament.
Additionally, we invite submissions in our Call for Papers section for the Data & Policy journal, focusing on data’s impact on policy. Our Latest Data & Policy Articles section present recent researches published by Cambridge University Press, covering topics like AI’s role in governance.
In the On Our Radar section, we highlight critical news articles, insightful commentary, and significant events shaping the data and AI policy landscape. You’ll find updates such as the UNESCO and OECD’s recently published toolkit designed to aid public sector leaders in implementing trustworthy AI, alongside coverage of the UN Secretary-General’s final report on AI governance. We also feature upcoming events, including international conferences focused on AI’s role in public policy and opportunities for collaboration, engagement, and research funding in this evolving field.
We encourage our community members to share their latest academic achievements and developments from their regions or countries for inclusion in future newsletters. You can send your relevant news and updates to our team at communications@dataforpolicy.org
