For more than a decade, the Data for Policy community has been advancing global dialogue on how data and AI can transform governance and policymaking. Through international and regional conferences, journal publications, equity initiatives, and cross-sector collaboration, the community has established itself as a leading forum for research, practice, and policy innovation.
As we look towards the next phase of our development, we are inviting members of our global network to contribute their perspectives through a Strategic Community Consultation. This consultation will help define our priorities for the coming years and ensure that Data for Policy CIC continues to provide value as an inclusive and impactful platform.
About the consultation
The consultation is designed to capture the experiences and views of our community members and stakeholders. It seeks input on:
- Community engagement — how individuals currently connect with Data for Policy and how they would like to be involved in the future.
- Pressing challenges — the most urgent issues at the intersection of data, AI, and policy that the community should collectively address.
- Strategic priorities — which areas of focus, such as expanding global conferences, strengthening the Data & Policy journal, or developing actionable resources, should be emphasised in the next 3–5 years.
- Future impact — what meaningful outcomes the community should aim to achieve over the next five years.
Why participation matters
The insights gathered will directly inform Data for Policy’s strategic planning, guiding how resources are directed and ensuring the organisation continues to support collaboration between academia, government, industry, and civil society. Contributions are confidential, and feedback will play a central role in shaping the future direction of our work.
Whether you are a long-standing participant in Data for Policy activities or engaging with us for the first time, your perspective is vital. By taking part in this consultation, you are helping to ensure that the community remains responsive, relevant, and globally connected.
We invite you to complete the consultation and help shape the future of Data for Policy.
