Christian Mongeau
Christian Mongeau holds a Ph.D. in Economics and brings extensive academic and professional experience in data science and socioeconomic quantitative analysis. Formerly a research fellow and assistant professor in economics, Christian now coordinates FAO’s Data Lab for Statistical Innovation applying cutting-edge methods such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as statistical and econometric approaches to improve agricultural data quality, address data gaps, and extract critical insights for food security and agrifood systems transformation. His interdisciplinary work has led to the development of tools and methods that support evidence-based decision-making and policy formulation. A published author in leading academic journals, Christian is also recognized for his collaborative contributions within the global research and data science communities.
