Davide Carneiro (PhD in Informatics) is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and Senior Researcher at INESC TEC. His research interests are focused on the domain of Artificial Intelligence, addressing topics such as distributed and streaming Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Meta-Learning, Multi-agent Systems and AI Ethics. He has participated in and/or coordinated 15+ competitive research projects, with industrial applications in fraud detection, anomaly detection, behavioral biometrics, quality control and information retrieval. He is the co-founder of AnyBrain, a Portuguese company dedicated to fraud detection in eSports. He is currently supervising 4 PhD students in fields that include AI observability & Ethics, Sustainable AI, Federated ML & Data Spaces, and Human-Centric industrial Multi-agent Systems.
