Sarah Giest is a Professor of Public Policy at Leiden University, with a focus on Innovation and Sustainability at the Public Administration Institute of Leiden University. She has been developing an interdisciplinary research agenda and teaching students to use a policy lens to address technical, environmental, and social solutions that shape sustainable societies. Prof. Giest is also the Area (Digital & Data-driven Transformations in Governance) Lead Editor of the Data for Policy community and Data & Policy journal.

Bram Klievink, Leiden University, The Hague, The Netherlands
Bram Klievink is a Professor of Public Administration at Leiden University, with a particular focus on Digitalisation and Public Policy. He is deeply interested in the interface between digitalisation and government. His research examines how digital innovations challenge existing practices and institutions in public governance and explores how digitalisation can be integrated into novel governance arrangements for the digital age. Current research includes projects on the politics and use of big data and algorithms in the public governance context. Prof. Klievink also serves as the Area (Algorithmic Governance) Editor of the Data for Policy community and Data & Policy journal.
